Training
We are committed to provide training and development needs as appropriate for each individual's duties and responsibilities. Line managers are responsible for ensuring that appropriate training is given and individual competency evaluation is conducted as standard.
Health and safety
Health and Safety Training incorporates CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) and SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) approved centres for delivery of assessments leading to nationally recognised Plant, Construction and H&S qualifications.
Competency
Competency is assessed initially through qualifications such as individuals' certificates and cards i.e. CPCS/ SVQ/NVQ/NPORS, recognised skills and experience to perform the work safely.
Performance
Performance is assessed as part of the staff appraisal interview and through our continual improvement, operational non-conformance and accident/incident reporting processes which are also a requirement of our ISO 9001:2015 Registration.
